41st Annual Concelebrated Mass

Date: Sun, Feb 24th, 2019

41st Annual Concelebrated Mass

in Honour of Saint Patrick

Sunday,

February 24, 2019, at 3:30 p.m.

"Let's keep the tradition alive!"

The Parish of Saint Cecilia was founded in 1895 by Irish Missionary Priests who had followed the post-famine immigrants from Ireland. The Saint Patrick's Celebration at Saint Cecilia's Parish is a continuation of a spiritual tradition for which Saint Cecilia's is renowned.

After Mass, there will be an informal reception in the parish hall. Irish coffee will be available and a fine selection of delicious Irish soda bread, scones and sandwiches will be served. A spirited, lively atmosphere will be provided by traditional Irish dancers from the Johnson School of Dance, and the music of Michael Kelly.

All proceeds from this year's celebration will go towards the costs of installing the Celtic Cross on the grounds of St. Cecilia's Church in memory of the Irish community who built this beautiful church

.

"The unveiling and official Blessing of the Celtic Cross by Cardinal Collins will take place before the Mass at the North-East corner of the Church grounds.

Landscaping will follow in the Spring."
